MSC NAPOLI INCIDENT - January 2007

A collection of images of the incident when the container ship the MSC Napoli was forced to run aground one mile off the South Devon coast. The incident was covered by: Dorset Media Service a freelance photographic agency.

The incident was photographed from the day the ship was

beached by the salvage tugs, when its cargo was washed

ashore at Branscombe and then looted, the clean up of

beaches of Devon and Dorset that followed the event.

After that when the cargo of over 2,000 containers was being

off loaded by giant barges and then taken to Portland Port,

Dorset to be processed and inspected.
